INSTALL WILL BE NOVEMBER 2026 - Two Buildings !
Amanda Browder is creating a collaborative textile installation at the University of Montana. With students and local partners, she’s designing site-specific interventions that activate campus spaces, examine material labor, and invite community participation. Her residency features workshops, lectures, and a public unveiling emphasizing process-driven practice and craft in contemporary public art.
Support from the University of Montana : School of Art and Game Design as well as the Flagship Foundation.
FABRIC DONATIONS NEEDED!
We need Cotton or Blend or Ripstop, VIBRANT COLORS, pattern or solid: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Violet, Fuchsia, Black and Rainbow!
Fluorescent, Sequins and Velvet ok!
No Clothing, No Stretch material, No White, Tan or Beige.

PUBLIC SEWING DAY CALENDAR
Fall 2026 - Missoula, Montana - In collaboration with the University of Montana : School of Visual and Media Arts - Soft Monument will be two large-scale textile installations that will be draped on two buildings in the Missoula area.
We will be hosting OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - Public Sewing Days at The Missoula Public Library, Opportunity Resources Inc., Missoula Museum of the Arts and MORE!

Locations of install: TBD — one confirmed site will be the Brunswick Building in downtown Missoula, with additional locations to be determined.
