SOFT MONUMENTS 2026

Amanda Browder is creating a collaborative textile installation at the University of Montana. With students and local partners, she’s designing site-specific interventions that activate campus spaces, examine material labor, and invite community participation. Her residency features workshops, lectures, and a public unveiling emphasizing process-driven practice and craft in contemporary public art.

Fall 2026 - Missoula, Montana - In collaboration with the University of Montana : Fine Art and Media Department - Soft Monument will be two large-scale textile installations that will be draped on two buildings in the Missoula area.

We will be hosting OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - Public Sewing Days at The Missoula Public Library, Opportunity Resources Inc., Missoula Museum of the Arts and MORE!
