City of threads
A city block is more than a static collection of apartments and homes. These visual installations highlight the dynamic personality of a neighborhood by introducing the ephemeral qualities of colored fabric onto buildings of brick and steel. The work functions as a morale booster for the neighborhood, creating feelings of ownership and appreciation, as well as serving as a temporary meeting place for visitors to congregate and converse about the construction; who made it, why it is there, and what does it mean.
